Barcelona won't get Denis Suarez in January - Villarreal president

The Catalan giants have indicated an interest in taking the 21-year-old back from El Madrigal but Fernando Roig explains that they cannot do so until at least the summer

Villarreal president Fernando Roig says that the club will not be selling Denis Suarez in the January transfer window.

Suarez moved to Villarreal from Barcelona in the off-season and the Spanish champions have confirmed that there is a possibility that they could re-sign their former player.

The 21-year-old has been a key figure for Villarreal this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists in 13 league appearances, and Roig is adamant that he will remain their player until at least the end of the season.

"There is an option for the summer, at the end of the season, but not until then," he explained to the press.
